Independent global professional services firm
Alvarez and Marsal (A&M) has expanded its Central and Eastern
Europe presence with a new office in Warsaw, Poland.
A&M has also recruited Thomas Kolaja, the
founder of Warsaw firm Kolaja and Partners, as a managing director
and head of the firm’s restructuring practice in Poland.
Kolaja has 20 years of experience in
restructuring, business strategy and operational improvement. He
has worked with private equity funds, banks and multinationals
across a range of industries, including manufacturing, chemical,
pharmaceuticals and energy.
A&M said the Polish developments signal an
increasing commitment to the region, with Warsaw providing an
important connection between the firm’s Russian and German
teams.
“Poland’s emergence as a centre for global and
regional business underscores the importance of our ongoing efforts
to build a strong A&M presence in Central and Eastern Europe,”
A&M managing director Peter Briggs explained.
