National accountancy group UHY Hacker Young has appointed Skevi Iacovou, Irfan Topia, Julie Parry and Salima Visram as directors.

UHY Hacker Young managing partner, Subarna Banerjee, said: “We’re deleted to be appointing four new directors to or London and Nottingham partnerships. All four of them have earned their places through the contributions they have made to the firm. WE all look forward to them playing an even more central role over the coming years.”

Skevi Iacovou has been promoted to director within the turnaround & recovery team, where she has over ten years’ experience in our London office. She specialises in corporate insolvencies from owner managed businesses to small and medium sized enterprises and works across a range of UK sectors. As director, she will now begin taking on appointments of her own.

Says Iacovou: “It’s been very rewarding to work at UHY Hacker Young for over ten years. I’m delighted to be taking on more responsibility at the firm where I was once a junior.”

Irfan Topia has been promoted to director in the corporate finance department in London. Irfan has acquired previous experience working at a Big Four firm. Much of the work Topia does is advising businesses on transactional requirements such as valuations and private equity related deals. He takes pride in delivering a hands-on, commercial and pragmatic service.

Julie Parry has been promoted to director in the audit team at the Nottingham office. Parry has worked for UHY Hacker Young since 2005 across several sectors including charity, leisure, construction and IT. Before joining UHY, Julie trained and qualified at a Top 40 East Midlands based practice.

Says Julie Parry: “I’ve very happy to be continuing my work in the audit team, where I’ve enjoyed helping clients for nearly two decades. I look forward to being a director and taking on more responsibility.”

Salima Visram has been promoted to director in the Business Accounting Services department.  Salima joined UHY Hacker Young in 2012 as a BAS graduate. She has been working in the Service Charge team auditing and preparing accounts on residential service charges for the last twelve tears.

Visram concluded: “It’s been a pleasure to be part of the Service Charge team as it’s grown its portfolio. I look forward to developing the team further.”
