BKR international has appointed Manuel Rangel Jr as its worldwide chair.
Rangel is a partner at CPC Rangel, which is based in Mexico City. It has been a member firm of BKR International since 1994.
His role as chair entails leading the worldwide board in governance of BKR international. This includes attending meetings and annual conferences.
BKR’s CEO Howard Rosen said: “We are fortunate to have Manuel continuing his worldwide leadership role with BKR by taking on the very important position of Worldwide Chair. It is a big commitment of time and energy for a leader who is also part of a busy accounting firm, so we doubly recognize his willingness to give back to our association and the CPA profession.”
Rangel has served as a board member of the BKR international Americas Region for a six-year period. He has served as vice chair and treasurer for two years. In Mexico he is a member of the Mexican Institute of Public Accountants.
He is also a member of the Mexico City Public Accountants Association and member of the Fiscal Commission at the Mexican Industrial Chambers Confederation.
