McBrides Chartered Accountants, based in Sidcup, UK, has named Nigel Ling as an Audit & Assurance partner, effective 1 January 2025.

Ling, who has been with the firm for around 25 years, transitioned from his role as audit director to join the seven other partners at the firm.

He is the fifth partner at McBrides to have trained and qualified there.

After beginning his career in engineering, Ling joined McBrides in 1999 as a graduate trainee.

Over the years, as audit became more specialised within the profession, he progressed to audit manager and later director, focusing on larger owner-managed business clients.

Commenting on the new role, Ling said: “I am excited to join the leadership team as a partner at McBrides, a place where I trained, honed my skills and enjoy working with our incredible range of clients.
