International accountancy network Kreston Global has appointed Sharon Omer-Kaye as the new chair of the Global Private Client Services (GPCS) Group.

Omer-Kaye, a qualified chartered tax adviser and a member of the global Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, specialises in managing private client services.

Currently, she leads the Private Client and Global Mobility team at James Cowper Kreston, a member firm within the Kreston Global network.

In her new role, Omer-Kaye will lead other international private client specialists and tax teams to help enhance the network’s offerings.

Omer-Kaye said: “I am thrilled to have been appointed as Chair of the Global Private Client Services Group. Working with wealthy individuals, families, business owners and their advisers to support their global needs and ambitions has never been more important. Thanks to the plethora of expertise within the network, we are well placed to provide tailored, broad advice and value to international clients around the world.”

The Global Private Client Services Group, part of the Global Tax Group, offers a range of services to international high-net-worth individuals and their families on a global scale.

These services include tax compliance, risk management strategies, and offshore solutions.

It also covers estate planning and structured solutions such as the use of trusts, personal investment companies, and family offices.

This group provides tailored services to help families manage their wealth across borders, ensuring strategic planning for both short- and long-term objectives.

In addition, the group delivers global mobility services, which include inbound and outbound tax advice, asset structuring, expatriate policies, and social security advice.

It collaborates with other professionals in the relocation and immigration sectors to assist mid- and senior-level employees with international moves.

Kreston Global chief executive Liza Robbins said: “We are very excited with Sharon’s appointment to the group.

“She brings a wealth of experience in steering private client teams and on an individual level has demonstrated a keen commitment to client service throughout her career. I look forward to working closely with her and the international cohort of private client specialists within the network in future.”

Kreston Global’s service offerings are divided into three primary global service lines: tax, audit, and advisory.

These lines include several subgroups such as corporate finance, indirect tax, transfer pricing, R&D tax credits, and internal audit and risk.

In April 2024, Kreston Global announced the addition of De Beer, a Netherlands-based firm, to its network.
