EY has launched the EY.ai Global AI Advisory Council, a new body aimed at steering the company’s artificial intelligence (AI) strategy and adapt to technological and market changes.
The Council will provide insights and guidance to help EY remain at the ‘forefront’ of AI technology and its applications.
It will support EY.ai, the AI platform launched in September 2023, and contribute to the company’s innovation efforts and responsible AI deployment.
The EY.ai Global AI Advisory Council will be instrumental in directing AI development and deployment within EY and its affiliated entities. It will share insights on AI’s evolution, including technological breakthroughs and emerging risks.
The Council’s guidance will also aid EY professionals in assisting clients with AI deployment and transformation, while addressing broader industry transformation and verticalisation influenced by AI.
The Council will tackle global challenges through AI, focusing on climate change, health and wellness, education, and the digital divide. It aims to ensure equitable access to AI tools and mitigate societal risks.

EY digital and business disruption leader Gil Forer will co-lead the Council with Sharma.
The Council will consist of a diverse group of industry leaders, researchers, and experts who will provide insights into AI trends and their human implications, advising governments and organisations on adapting their models.
In October 2024, EY launched cloud-based intelligence platform, EY Competitive Edge, to provide real-time, tailored insights into markets, companies, and sectors.
