UK-based wealth management and accountancy firm Evelyn Partners has strengthened its Northern private client tax team with the appointment of Vanessa Lee.
With more than 27 years of experience in tax advisory services, Lee will be based in Evelyn’s Leeds office.
Lee specialises in managing complex tax and dispute planning for high net worth individuals.
She previously held senior positions at professional services firms including BDO and EY.
Evelyn Partners tax head Tom Shave said: “Vanessa’s appointment comes at a time of significant growth and investment for Evelyn Partners’ professional services business. Our ambitions in the north of England are underpinned by the recent acquisition of Haines Watts offices in Leeds, Manchester and Newcastle.
“A key aspect of our strategy is in attracting senior talent like Vanessa who will bring a new dimension to our business.
“We are focused on providing excellent advice to our clients in the run-up to the new government’s first Budget on October 30th and beyond.”
In the new role, Lee will collaborate with tax teams across the Northern region, including Harrogate, Manchester, and Newcastle.
Lee added: “Evelyn Partners is the epitome of an entrepreneurial practice which aligns perfectly with the clients I enjoy working with. Supporting both clients and colleagues is of paramount importance to me and I very much look forward to being part of a team which holds private clients and their contribution in such high regard.”
In 2023, Evelyn Partners acquired Creaseys Group, a Kent-based firm of accountants and tax specialists, for an undisclosed sum.
Creaseys offers assurance, advisory and tax services to both businesses and individuals, with a particular expertise in advising private equity executives on their tax affairs.
