City accountancy firm LAS Group have merged with Goldwyns, with the merged firm taking the Goldwyns name.

LAS Group specialises in tax, advisory and accounting services for high-net-worth individuals, international family offices, commercial property investors, entrepreneurs, as well as niche areas of financial services and medical practitioners.  LAS Group is based at the Royal Exchange in the City of London.

Goldwyns, founded in 1935 and previously based in Marylebone, offers accounting and audit services predominately to a client base of commercial property investors, including developers and funds, as well as larger corporate and international groups.

Sumit Selli, who was previously senior partner at LAS Group is the new senior partner alongside Martin Myers and Andrew Wilson for the merged Goldwyns Group.

The deal will virtually double the merged firm’s UK capacity as the Goldwyns team will be retained.  It will also allow the expanded Group to offer a wider and more complete range of services to its clients.  In particular, the addition of the experienced Goldwyns team brings well-regarded audit expertise to the firm.

Following the completion of the merger, Goldwyns Group, now based in the Heron Tower in the City, will look to make further acquisitions to grow its capabilities and services.

Commenting on this, Selli said: “We are delighted to have completed the merger of two great firms. The new Goldwyns has a much greater capacity to advise clients across an even broader range of services.

“Goldwyns’ audit expertise was a key part of the merger for us – that brings us much closer to the full range of services that we want to offer our clients. This is only the first stage of an ambitious growth plan we have for the business. We’re looking for further acquisition targets to add even more specialist expertise.”

“Goldwyns is a historic and prestigious brand in the accountancy profession and we’re proud to continue the history that comes with it.”
