Accountancy and business advisory firm BDO has appointed more than 600 new trainees to its UK offices.
The new recruits join the firm’s existing workforce of 8,000 across audit, tax, and advisory practices, with more than half based outside of London.
The trainees include university graduates, school leaver apprentices, and students undertaking a 12-month industrial placement.
As part of training programme, most of these new trainees will have the chance to undertake a Level 7 apprenticeship programme, which equates to a master’s degree qualification.
In line with its diversity objectives, BDO is in its fourth year of delivering targeted insight programmes.
This year, 40 students from years 11-13 participated in the Explore BDO programme, which is aimed at students from lower socio-economic backgrounds, while 22 university students engaged in the Black Heritage Insight programme.
