Clive is looking forward to working with European and International tax advisers at branch meetings around Europe once the coronavirus restrictions have been lifted. In the meantime, the branch will consider online delivery of events.
The European branch of the Chartered Institute of Taxation has previously held branch meetings in Amsterdam, Geneva, London, Milan and Paris. Clive is looking to expand attendees’ international tax knowledge and allow them to share ideas and knowledge. Non-members of the Institute are welcome to attend the events.
Clive commented, "The CIOT European Branch brings together UK tax professionals based across Europe to share knowledge and keep up-to-date with tax developments. The current situation is challenging for tax advisers as for most other groups, with personal and family challenges combined with an often-heavy workload, as clients try to manage their finances and access the economic relief available to them.”
“Tax advisers have a crucial role to play in helping businesses and other taxpayers make it through the current crisis. The CIOT and its branch network plays a crucial role in supporting its members.”
Clive’s first objective is to expand the current committee to help the organisation of speakers and branch meetings.
