Accountfully, an outsourced accounting and bookkeeping firm, has been purchased by BELAY, a provider of flexible staffing solutions.

Financial details of the deal have not been disclosed.

Founded in 2012 Brad and Meredith Ebenhoeh in Charleston, South Carolina, Accountfully specialises in offering accounting services to small and mid-sized businesses.

The services offered by Accountfully include distributor deductions management, bookkeeping and controller services, strategic financial advice, inventory consulting, and tax services, among others.

BELAY CEO Tricia Sciortino said: “We’re taking a bold step toward providing holistic financial solutions that empower business owners with the financial clarity and strategic guidance they need to scale with confidence.”

Through this acquisition, BELAY aims expand its outsourced accounting solutions, incorporating income tax services, inventory systems implementation, and deductions management.

Accountfully partner and CEO Brad Ebenhoeh said: “From our first conversations with BELAY, it was clear that our companies shared a common vision: to help businesses thrive through expert financial guidance.

“By joining forces, we can deliver more comprehensive services to more businesses.”

Accountfully noted that this transition opens up new avenues for career development.

According to the company’s partner and COO Meredith Ebenhoeh, the merger allows Accountfully to further its mission on a much larger scale.

Business brokerage firm Viking Mergers & Acquisitions facilitated the transaction.

Viking M&A managing partner Kyle Kerrigan said: “The Ebenhoehs built an incredible business, which was evident from the overwhelming interest in Accountfully.

“While we worked with many great prospective buyers, it became clear through the process that BELAY was the right partner for Accountfully. We greatly enjoy these kinds of opportunities, where the whole is greater than the sum of the parts. We’re excited for the future of the Belay/Accountfully partnership.”
