Forvis Mazars, an accounting and consulting firm in the US, has expanded its presence in Florida with the acquisition of certified public accountant (CPA) firm MSL, P.A.

With the acquisition, which is effective from 1 November 2024, Forvis Mazars adds approximately 120 professionals, including 14 partners.

The deal also expands the firm’s footprint with three new offices in Orlando, Fort Lauderdale, and Tallahassee.

MSL is engaged in providing audit, tax, and consulting services. It serves the healthcare, real estate, public sector, construction, commercial products, and nonprofit industries.

Forvis Mazars Florida managing partner Paul Thompson said: “MSL has an incredible reputation in Florida, and we are excited about the opportunities to leverage each other’s strengths to serve clients here in new and dynamic ways.”

The integration of MSL into the firm, which also operates in Jacksonville and South Florida, is expected to create synergies, particularly in the Tampa market where both firms have a presence.
