Accountancy and business advisory firm BDO has announced the promotion of more than 2,440 members of staff.

Effective from 1 November 2024, the promotions span across the firm’s central operations, audit, tax, deals, and consulting, risk and outsourcing teams.

In the audit practice, BDO has promoted more than 1,300 individuals, while the tax team saw more than 340 promotions.

The deals division has 165 new promotions, and the consulting, risk and outsourcing teams have 420.

Additionally, 135 staff members across central support functions have been elevated in their roles.

Furthermore, BDO has promoted  36 partners as part of its investment in people. This expansion brings the total number of partners to more than 460.

The audit practice has added 11 new partners, including Steve Bladen, Oliver Brown, Laurence Elliott, Cindy Hrkalovic, Lindsay Hurley, Nikhil Lalsodagar, Olivia Manase, Vicky Smith, Nyasha Tsuro, and Aaron Winter.

The tax team’s promotions include Parul Anand, Alistair Culverwell, Christopher Mann, Nuala McLaughlin, Nick Millward, Stuart Strong, and Chris Williams.

Seven individuals have been promoted to partner within the deals team, namely Elizabeth Acland, James Buckingham, Mark Jones, Waheed Mahroof, Kirsty McMahon, Ben Peterson and Sarah Ziegler.

The consulting, risk, and outsourcing teams have seen Tannyth Bush, Chris Carle, Sam Cornish, Paul Hammond, Sandeep Mohan, Andrew Souyave, Sohasini Sudtharalingam, Alisa Voznaya, and Francis Yates rise to the partner level.

Additionally, Lisanne Barrell and Leslie Peter have been promoted to partner in the firm’s central operational teams, and Helen Patel has been elevated to partner in the quality and risk management team.
