US-based Pioneer Accounting Group has acquired Universal Business Computing Company (UBCC), a provider of productivity-focused accounting and payroll software.
The acquisition includes all stock of UBCC, positioning Pioneer Accounting Group to leverage UBCC’s technological prowess across its other firms, including Gandrud Financial and Archer Halliday.
The transition will see all current UBCC employees retained, ensuring continued working on new payroll portal functionality.
For several months, UBCC co-founder Ken Garen will remain as a consultant.
Pioneer Accounting Group founder Armaven Pogosyan said: “I had observed the exceptional productivity of UBCC software when I purchased the accounting practice of Vivat Lin, a UBCC client in Seattle.
“Lin’s staff confirmed that UBCC software productivity is 200% to 300% higher than at other accounting practices. I have never seen efficiencies and flexibility like this before, and that’s what led me to pursue the next step.”
