Finalists have been announced for this year’s IAB Awards, drawn from what judges called a "very strong set" of submissions sent during the nomination period.

Competition is set to be intense for each award, with at least three finalists named in every category except "Rising Star Network", where networks Kreston International and Nexia International are set to go head to head.

Nexia International is also a finalist for the "Network of the Year" award alongside Grant Thornton International and BDO International, while a record six finalists have been named for the category "Association of the Year".

The winners will now be decided by an independent panel of judges including Jane Howard of Wragge & Co, Sue Almond of ACCA, and ICAS president Sir David Tweedie.

Results will be kept tightly under wraps until the awards ceremony itself, which will be held at Chartered accountants’ Hall, at One Moorgate Place, London, on 14 March 2013.

In addition to the awards detailed below, the ceremony will include the presentation of IAB’s Young Accountant of the Year, Personality of the Year and Lifetime Achievement awards
