PwC UK has increased the number of vacancies at higher apprentice level this year to 120.
The 10% increase in roles available under the scheme will be in the firm’s business recovery services and tax and management consulting teams.
PwC UK said the increase is a response to the many applications already received for the programme.
The higher apprenticeship scheme is a non-graduate route into management consulting with students having the opportunity to be operating at the same level in the organisation as their graduate peers after two years.
Gaenor Bagley, head of people at PwC UK said; "We’re really encouraged by the level of interest students are showing in higher apprenticeships at PwC and the fantastic quality and variety in the applicants. For us, it’s widened the access gate to the profession, without lowering the bar in terms of the talent we’re attracting."
