HLB International largest UK member Menzies has announced it will merge with Harris Lipman, the combined partnership will operate under the Menzies name.

The combine firm is expected to generate a turnover of £40m, according to Menzies.

According to International Accounting Bulletin latest UK survey, Menzies ranked as the 16th largest firm in the UK in financial year 2014 with total fee income of £32.0m. This latest move is expected to bring the firm in the Top 15.

Established in 1954, Harris Lipman has offices in London and Cardiff and counts 50 staff.

Under the term of the merger, Harris Lipman offices and team will continue to operate as normal, with the exception of the insolvency team which will relocate to join the Menzies insolvency team.

Harris Lipman will also gain membership to HLB International.
