The UK Financial Reporting Council (FRC) has announced that in conclusion of reviewing the annual report and accounts of Mitie Group it will open an investigation on the preparation of their financial statements for the year ended 31 March 2016.
The investigation, to be opened under the Accountancy Scheme, is in addition to an ongoing investigation into the conduct of Deloitte’s audit of Mitie Group announced 31 July 2017 under the Audit Enforcement Procedure (AEP) for the audits with years ended 31 March 2015 and 2016.
