DFK International has launched DFK Diversity and Inclusion Initiatives Executive Committee (D&IEC) to help achieve gender parity across the association and the profession.
The committee intends to support the representation of women leaders within the association as well as advocating the benefits of gender balance in the workplace.
The D&IEC looks to promote diversity through the hosting of breakfast events, arranging speakers for DFK conferences, and a dedicated LinkedIn page.
It is being led by Anne Brady, DFK’s incoming vice-president of the EMEA region, who commented: “We are seeing a higher proportion of women qualifying across the sector but not progressing to the top tier of management. The committee will look to help change this trend and educate firms so greater diversity will help build a greater workforce. We will look to support women in our member firms across DFK and also arrange guest speakers for conferences and events who will promote the benefits of gender balance.”
DFK International CEO Martin Sharp said: ““By working together, we can create a ripple effect that not only advances better gender balance in the workplace at present, but also ensures that the leadership in our organisation that represents the diversity of our membership. Together, we can play our small part in forging a lasting legacy of growth, increased prosperity and stronger communities throughout the world.”
