
Tax, accounting, and advisory firm Smith + Howard has appointed Shaun Potter as Principal, System and Organization Controls (SOC) Audit within the Accounting and Advisory Group.
Potter, in his new role, will be enhancing the firm’s technology-driven offerings, focusing on SOC reporting, cybersecurity, and risk management.
Shaun Potter has experience in IT security. He previously served as chief information security officer at a SaaS and integrated payment solutions provider for governments across the US.
During his previous tenure, Potter led his team to achieve full compliance with SOC 2, a cybersecurity compliance framework, and Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) certifications.
