EY Global Delivery Services (GDS), a division of EY, has increased its footprint in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu by opening its first office in Coimbatore.

The new office at the KCT Tech Park is the company’s third in the state and covers an area of 22,000ft².

It will serve as a hub for AI, data analytics, cloud services, cybersecurity, digital and quality engineering, ERP systems, and financial services platforms.

The new office is designed to provide technology-driven, human-centric solutions efficiently and on a large scale, thereby fostering business growth for both EY and its clients.

The inauguration event was attended by Tamil Nadu’s Minister for IT and Digital Services, Palanivel Thiaga Rajan, and Manesh Patel, the Global Operations Leader at EY GDS.

Manesh Patel was quoted by various media houses as saying: “Coimbatore’s vibrant business ecosystem and skilled talent pool provide the perfect environment for our expansion.

“We are eager to further contribute to the state’s vision of becoming the innovation hub and knowledge capital and strengthen our innovative solution delivery to EY clients across the globe, helping them to confidently shape the future.”

EY GDS, with a global network of more than 74,000 professionals across nine locations and 21 cities, plays a crucial role in EY’s growth strategy.

Palanivel Thiaga Rajan said: “We are thrilled with EY GDS’s decision to establish its first office in Coimbatore. This move further solidifies Tamil Nadu’s reputation as a hotspot for innovation and skilled talent.

“The new facility represents not only an investment in infrastructure but also a commitment to the potential of our talented workforce.

“EY GDS’s presence is expected to generate employment, enhance skills, and significantly contribute to the state’s digital transformation journey.”
