Confiance, which offers business services and accounting solutions, has expanded its global presence with the purchase of Meru Accounting.

The acquisition unites more than 1,500 professionals, bolstering Confiance’s ability to serve an international client base.

Financial terms of the deal remain undisclosed.

Based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat in India, Meru Accounting is led by Rushabh Shah and Harnish Shah.

The firm is engaged in providing accounting, tax, and bookkeeping services across New Zealand, Australia, US, and UK.

The acquisition integrates Meru Accounting’s expertise in these services with Confiance’s comprehensive service portfolio.

Confiance said the move results in a “stronger, more versatile” organisation that offers clients of both firms access to an expanded range of services and enhanced capabilities.

A “carefully planned” integration process will be put in place to ensure continuity of service for all clients, the firm noted.
